SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — Calling all anglers! The 2022 Big Bass Splash will be held on Friday, March 25 through Sunday, March 27 on beautiful Lake Guntersville at Goosepond Colony.
This annual angling event, the world’s largest amateur fishing tournament, was started by Texas angler Bob Sealy of Sealy Outdoors in 1984. Since its inception, the tournament has benefited several national charities, including Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, March of Dimes, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The tournament will begin at Goose Pond Colony, located at 417 Ed Hembree Drive in Scottsboro.
Since 2010, the Big Bass Splash has raised over $60,000 toward the mission of keeping sick children and their families together.
For those who are unable to attend the tournament in-person, hourly updates will be delivered on 98-3 Wild Country. Wild Country will be onsite all weekend beginning with their Wild Country Morning with Brian and Marla on Friday.
