Bisons Swat the Hornets

IDER, Ala. — The North Sand Mountain Bisons defeated the Ider Hornets, 40-13 in Class 2A Region 7 play on Friday night. 

Lake Bell scored on the opening drive for the North Sand Mountain Bisons.  The Bisons tacked on two more touchdowns to take the early 20-0 lead in the first quarter. In the second, the Bisons scored two more touchdowns to go into the half with 33 unanswered points.  

Bell scored the final touchdown for the Bisons in the third quarter, to make the score 40-0.

In the fourth quarter of the game, Ider put their only points on the board. With 6:27 remaining in the fourth quarter, Hunter Robinson scored for the Hornets.  The extra point attempt failed, making the score 40-6.  Luke Hannah added another touchdown for Ider, making the final score 40-13.

This was the Bisons’ fifth consecutive win over the Ider Hornets.

North Sand Mountain will host the Section Lions in regional play on Friday night.  The Ider Hornets will travel to take on Tanner.
