Fatal Accident in Stevenson

STEVENSON, ALA.- An accident on Monday morning claimed the life of a Stevenson man when the vehicle he was traveling in overturned on Alabama 117. 

Jackson County EMA and the Alabama Department of Transportation reported that the crash happened around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Jackson County Road 91 and Alabama Highway 117.  

Due to the accident, the state highway was closed in both directions until 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
