Fatal Crash in Jackson County

DUTTON, Ala. — On Sunday, two men were killed in a multiple vehicle crash in Jackson County. 

The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 40, two miles north of Dutton, at around 8:30 pm. 

Alabama State Troopers confirmed that Ismael Torres, age 60, of Marietta, Georgia was killed when the Honda Accord that he was driving, improperly passed vehicles and hit a Nissan Altima. 

The driver of the Altima was Christopher Dane Boyd, age 23 of Pisgah. Boyd was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
