Fatal Wreck Occurs at Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Ala. — According to the Jackson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), a major traffic accident was reported on Highway 72 at County 69 in Bridgeport. Highway 72’s eastbound lanes have been closed.

The accident involved two trucks and a car.

Jackson County EMA Director Paul Smith confirmed one fatality due to the accident.

Avoid the area if possible.
