HMC: Please Donate Blood

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — According to a statement from Highlands Medical Center (HMC), there is a critical need for blood donations in the surrounding area.

“Blood supply for our community is critically low due to extreme declines in blood donations,” the statement read. “Our community needs you. We are urging eligible donors to make and keep an appointment to give blood now, or attend one of our blood drives.”

HMC will hold several blood drives over the next few weeks at the main entrance of the hospital:

• November 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• December 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• December 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• December 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
