Scottsboro Track & Field Wins State Championship

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — Scottsboro has won the 2020 Class 4A-5A Boys Indoor Track and Field state championship. The Wildcats finished with 86 points, 35 better than runner-up Ramsay. It’s the second straight state title for the SHS Boys. 

SHS girls take first in the state edging out Jasper in the last event. Nine tenths of a second separated the two teams in the 4×400 relay giving Scottsboro the championship win by one point.

  • Guys 3200 – Hayden Judge 1st Place,
  • Cooper Atkins 2nd Place
  • Boys 800 – Rex Green 1st Place
  • Girl 4×200 Relay (Emma Hancock, Charlsi Henderson, Caroline Sanders, Isabelle Flores) – 3rd Place
  • 400 Girls Scottsboro Indoor Team School Record – Lauren Paradise
  • Girls Pole Vault – Makayla Keel 3rd Place
  • Boys Pole Vault – Maddox Hamm 2nd Place
  • 1600 Boys – Cooper Atkins 1st, Hayden Judge 2nd
  • Girls 4×800 (Anna Carlson, Cambree Bradford, Isabelle Flores, Lauren
    Paradise) 1st Place
  • Boys 4×800 (Benson Atkins, Cooper Atkins, Hayden Judge, Rex Green) 1st Place, also set a State record
  • Girls High Jump – Alyssa Bell 3rd
  • Girls 4×400 – (Charlsi Henderson, Lauren Paradise, Anna Carlson,
    Isabelle Flores) 3rd Place * Triple Jump – Alex Cantrell 2nd place * Shot Put – Nathan Jones 2nd place
