SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — Scottsboro Police Officers, assisted by The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, and Skyline Police Department, arrested two people for numerous violations on May 18.
Scottsboro Police Officers were called to the Highlands Medical Center parking lot in reference to three individuals in a vehicle using illegal drugs. As officers entered the parking lot, the vehicle drove through bushes and over a curb, then onto Woods Cove Road.
Officers pursued the vehicle throughout the city, state, and county roads. Stop-Sticks were deployed and successfully flattened the vehicle’s tires, which slowed the vehicle to a stop in Hollywood on County Road 588.
The three occupants then fled on foot. Officers apprehended two of the suspects and placed them under arrest. The third suspect was identified and warrants will be obtained.
- Jason Lee Oyler (36 of Rainsville): attempting to elude (vehicle), resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, and possession of a controlled substance (synthetic narcotics).
- Jason Dewayne Puckett (35 of Guntersville): attempting to elude (on foot), resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance (synthetic narcotics).
Both suspects were transferred to the Jackson County Jail.
