Dr. Durwood Hodges Announces Retirement

After 40 years of devoting his life to practicing family medicine in our community, Dr.  Durwood Hodges will retire on August 31, 2021. “We want to thank Dr. Hodges for his many years of service to the people of Jackson County, and congratulate him on his retirement. We wish him all our best for many relaxing and happy years doing the things that bring him joy in life. He will be greatly missed in our medical community,” said Dr. Lonnie Albin, Chief Medical Officer for Highlands Medical Center.

All patients have been notified by mail of his retirement and the procedures for attaining medical records. The Hodges Clinic office will remain open during normal business hours through Tuesday, August 31, 2021, for patients to pick up medical records. After this date, all requests for medical records should be mailed to Highlands Medical Center, Attention: Health Info Management, P.O. Box 1050, Scottsboro, AL 35768.
