SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — Garland Ferry Road in Scottsboro will be closed to through traffic for one week beginning next Monday, April 26, 2021.
According to a joint statement from the City of Scottsboro and the Scottsboro Water Sewer & Gas (WSG), the two entities are “working together to maintain and resurface” the road. The closure is expected to last through Friday, April 30, 2021.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you in your daily travels, but [we] assure you that we will work as quickly and [as] safely as possible,” the statement continued.
The closure of the road is for preparation work on utilities in order to resurface the road. After the week-long closure, Garland Ferry Road will be under construction for the following three to four weeks until paving takes place.
