JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. — Andrew Lambert is facing more charges after reportedly hitting a corrections officer at the Jackson County jail Thursday.

Lambert was already in the Jackson County Jail for probation violation and theft charges.  He refused a corrections officer’s order to return to his cell and then Lambert assaulted the deputy.

Sheriff Chuck Phillips said that the inmate hit the deputy in the face two or three times.  The deputy was sent to the ER. Andrew Lambert is now charged with assaulting an officer.
