Save the Date: Sexual Assault Awareness Month events

Scottsboro, Ala. — The Jackson County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, along with Crisis Services of North Alabama, invites citizens to “Save the Date” for upcoming April events in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Flowers for Survivors will take place Thursday, April 9th at 11:15 at Scottsboro City Hall. This is an annual ceremony hosted to honor survivors of sexual assault. 

Following Flowers for Survivors, Lunch and Learn will be hosted Thursday, April 9th @ 12:00 at Western Sizzlin. The topic is titled, “Residual Pain: Overcoming the anger from domestic violence and sexual assault.” One clock hour of continuing education unit will be offered to social workers, counselors and nurses – presented by David Holmes, LPC-S, NCC.
