Trump Nominates Roden to TVA Board

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — President Donald Trump has nominated North Alabama business leader, Rick Roden to serve on the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Board of Directors.  

TVA is federally owned and provides electricity for portions of seven states including Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia. 

Roden is the president and CEO of the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce in Scottsboro where he has worked for 29 years. 

If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Roden will complete the term of John Thompson III, of Decatur.  Thompson was removed from the TVA board in August 2020 by President Trump.
